Grinding C8 Ferrite Magnets 20190108

Products Specification:
Dimension: 50.8x*x*mm, with a slot Wide 3mmx depth *mm in the middle of magnets.

Grade: C8

This is a typical type of ferrite magnets, which is produced by grinding process. General magnet production process can’t produce some special magnets, so that grinding process is needed. Grinding process mainly uses the grinder and diamond wheel to process the ferrite magnet. First we will use coarse grinding wheel to rapidly kibble, and make the magnets basically meet the dimension and shape required in the technical drawing, but there will also be small margin left, at this time a layer of damage will appear on the surface of magnets. Then we can wipe off the damage by fine grinding.But the bottom shelf of this magnet protrudes out a part, which make the magnets difficult to produce by using grinding process. So we stick the bottom shelf with finished magnet together with glue, instead of producing the whole magnet by grinding process. This will not affect the performance of products, as long as the magnets don’t get fierce collision.

Surface Gauss Strength of Ferrite Magnets 20181218

Recently, one of our customer sent us a quote request for below dimension of Y25 ferrite magnets:

One of the magnet 85x8x53mm is required to be magnetized through 53mm.But actually, the magnetism orientation of magnets through length(thickness), maximum length(thickness) is 50mm.

5-6 units of above ferrite magnets will be put into a huge cylinder of D1.2x3.2m, half of the cylinder is empty, and half of it will be filled with magnets. The aim of the cylinder is to retain the fine particles of iron ore. So a pretty high surface gauss strength will be require.

In fact, we are not able to garantee that the surface of cylinder will achieve the guass strength as required. Because magnets are customized products, unlike those standard products that will have a specific data. Magnets need to be manufactured and checked tha surface gauss strength by actual measurement. Moreover, quantity won’t effect the magnetic flux of magnets. Magnetic flux refers to a single magnet. When multiple magnets are used together, the magnetic effect will increase.
